Steve Jobs’ commencement speech at Stanford was one of the best speeches I have seen so far. This commencement speech by Joanne K. Rowling at Harvard in 2008 is on a par.
It seems that those who experienced major setbacks in their life can deliver the best speeches to graduates.

A truely funny speech delivered by Jeff Yalden to the Mascenic Regional High School class of 2006. And he got the attention of the graduates by speaking their language. This speech is that good, I watched it two times in a row.
Sorry for the messed video, but I couldn’t find a better recording of this speech.
Steve Jobs, CEO and co-founder of Apple Inc. and Pixar Animatioon Studios, gave a speech in 2005 at the 114th Commencement of the Stanford University. It’s an inspiring speech from a man who has seen success, setbacks, and faced death. Definitely one of my favorites…
You can find a full transcript of this speech at the Stanford News Service. Another source of the transcript was provided by Pera Lozac.
Tutoring and children having fun seems incompatible? Dave Eggers will prove you wrong.
Dave Eggers, writer and independent publisher, won the TED prize 2008 for his moonlighting project 826 Valencia, launched in 1998. This project focuses on one-on-one volunteer tutoring and has created a movement. And it’s one of the craziest and funniest you’ll ever hear of. Just give him a few minutes to warm up.
