Bill Clinton: DNC

Oliver Burkeman from the Guardian commented before the speech:

A Bill Clinton speech is always fun to watch in any event, but the mixed feelings of the audience towards the speaker and the speaker towards his audience should make this one particularly fascinating.

Bill Clinton’s speech at the DNC was fascinating and fun to watch.

Hillary Clinton: No way! No how! No McCain!

Like her concession speech, this speech of Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention is well written and delivered, calling her supporters to elect Barack Obama president.

Michelle Obama: I love this country

This week will be all about great speeches from the Democratic National Convention in Denver. And at the end of the week I’ll also post a list with speeches which I didn’t mention this week.

The first one is the speech from Michelle Obama which was definitely one of the best speeches of the entire event. Keith Olbermann’s comment directly after the speech was:

If that speech was to be more about tone than content, pitch perfect. If it was to be more about content than tone, pitch perfect.

Or like John Watkis from the Successful Speeches Blog wrote:

Last night, it was Michelle Obama’s turn to speak at the Democratic National Convention … and speak she did!
