Neurologist Vilayanur Ramachandran, director of the Center for Brain and Cognition at the University of California, San Diego, explains why brain disorders can demonstrate how the brain works. He uses examples like Capgras syndrome, phantom limbs and synestesia and shows a cheap and easy way of treatment for pain in a phantom limb.
