There seemed to be some misunderstanding about Scott St. Patrick Williams’ performance. This is his answer from the YouTube comments:

Thank you for your response. While I understand where you’re coming from, this piece is meant to illustrate what I think is truly in Sen. Obama’s heart. Which is that America and this campaign is so important to him, he would be crushed if he lost for the silly aforementioned reasons. I am a strong Obama supporter and well in tune with the facts. I WANT HIM TO WIN. Sorry 4 the miscommunication but thank you for the love.
Scott St.Patrick

Speeches from the DNC

If you haven’t had enough, here is the list of speeches I promised earlier this week. If you don’t know with which to start, I would recommend the speeches from Joe Biden, Dick Durbin, Martin Luther King III, John Lewis, Claire McCaskill, Ted Kennedy, Maya Soetoro-Ng and Mark Warner.

Michelle Obama: I love this country

This week will be all about great speeches from the Democratic National Convention in Denver. And at the end of the week I’ll also post a list with speeches which I didn’t mention this week.

The first one is the speech from Michelle Obama which was definitely one of the best speeches of the entire event. Keith Olbermann’s comment directly after the speech was:

If that speech was to be more about tone than content, pitch perfect. If it was to be more about content than tone, pitch perfect.

Or like John Watkis from the Successful Speeches Blog wrote:

Last night, it was Michelle Obama’s turn to speak at the Democratic National Convention … and speak she did!
