Randy Pausch: “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams” (The Last Lecture)
Usually, I wouldn’t go with a topic every week, but this great man deserves it.
Professor Randy Pausch passed away on July 25th. Nine month before he died from pancreatic cancer, he left behind an outstanding spoken gem. His last lecture at Carnegie Mellon University inspired millions of viewers all over the world.
You might have seen the lecture on YouTube before. This one is a longer version including speeches from friends and collegues (Steve Seabolt, Jim Foley, Jimmy Cohen and Andries "Andy" van Dam) after the lecture.
Carnegie Mellon provides a transcript [.pdf]. More information can be found at Six Minutes.
Update: Since Google Video is down, this is version no longer contains the subsequent speeches by his friends and collegues.
